SNAG FISHING

I had a urge one day to get out on the bank before work one day with limited time only I rushed down to the Suffolk water park and manage to bag my self a spot on the traditional lake. Setting up i knew exactly where I wanted to fish an one of the bailiffs recommended me the exact same spot! So I got down there baited up a bit just before casting one out just to right on me under a set of snags! 

Setting the rods up I quickly realised I’ve forgotten my alarms 🤦🏼‍♂️ that didnt phase me as I had no time to mess about going to get them so I laid them down on the bank, flicked the bait runner up an we were fishing! Just as I was about to have my breakfast my right hand rod ripped off with this one taken me right under the snag! With quick thinking. I let laid my rod back down and within the next minute or so he managed to pull himself free from snag and coming straight on to me ready to go in the net! Photo doesn’t really do its justice but it appeared to be a lot longer then it looks here with a massive set of shoulders 😤 made my day for sure! This is why I love carp fishing 🔥👌🏼🎣
